Behind the Millions: ViewStats Demystifies YouTube Success

Jimmy Donaldson, aka Mr.Beast and the Golden Boy of YouTube, has co-founded Viewstats with Chucky Appleby. Viewstats is an analytics database company that helps give creators a more detailed overview of their channel's and video's metrics, from simple data points like views and subscribers to more advanced "channelytics" like views between long-form and short-form content, estimated revenue, and projected growth.

ViewStats' standout feature is the ability to see the results of A/B tests, which involve a video's thumbnails and titles. Creators are able to see which styles of thumbnails and titles perform better with their audience. Appleby believes that because so many creators in the content creation space look up to Jimmy, ViewStats will become an indispensable hub for YouTubers.

I love these new resources, and I think that the ability to easily understand not only how your content is performing but also how your channel is growing is massively important. Knowing that information could help you secure brand deals more effectively. We live in an age where brands are looking to work with creators more and more, and if you can communicate effectively your understanding of how your audience engages with your content, it will create trust and transparency with the brand. At the end of the day, in business, what's more important than your ability to generate engagement is whether people feel like they can trust doing business with you, and that's what ViewStats can do to help build trust.

From Follow to Follow-Through: How Influencer Brands Are Winning Hearts and Wallets

Creator brands like Chamberlin Coffee, Rare Beauty, and SKIMS, all founded by influencers like Emma Chamberlain, Selena Gomez, and Kim Kardashian, have become a hallmark in the CPG space in recent years. And nearly 30% of U.S. adults said that they'd purchased a product from a creator-based brand, while that figure rose to 53% and 47% for Gen Z adults and millennials, respectively.

But the most interesting data points coming from this report are that these brands are generating crazy sales numbers and valuations. Rare Beauty is on track to cross $300 million in sales this year, and SKIMS's valuation is going from $3.2 billion in 2022 to $4 billion this year. It's safe to say that creator-led brands are the future of the CPG space. So how can you, as a creator, capitalize on this opportunity? Here's how I would capitalize on this opportunity:.

When the time comes to create your brand or product, make sure that the product or brand you are releasing makes your audience feel a sense of "trustworthiness," a feeling that can be achieved by being authentic, which will give your audience the impression that you aren't just releasing a product just to secure a bag, and the sensation that you're "innovating" and "adapting" your brand or product, which is achieved by using every single platform possible to capture feedback from your audience to constantly improve your product. This ability is the most important because it shows the commitment and values that you place on the brand or product and gives your audience the feeling that you're listening to them and improving the brand or product, which will help build a stronger personal connection with the brand and are more likely to become loyal customers. Because, as the great Simon Sinek once said, people don't buy what you do; they buy WHY you do it.

Meet Jon-Paul Wheatley, aka jonpaulsballs!

Jon is a content creator and professional soccer ball maker. Jon started manufacturing soccer balls while living in the former soccer capital of the United States, St. Louis, Missouri.

As an avid sports fan, he was curious about how and what it took to create a ball. So he set out to manufacture his own ball, and it ended terribly. What was supposed to resemble a ball ended up looking like a little leather hacky-sack-sized object. But this didn't stop him; he improved his skills as a side effect of manufacturing a lot of poorly made soccer balls and spending hours on research and development. He started documenting his journey of manufacturing every unique ball he creates, and his creations started to get the attention of ESPN, COPA90, and BR football, and he even led some amazing collaborations with FIFA and the MLS.

I feel in love with his content because of the unique storytelling and deep thought he takes in creating each ball, from his jabulani-esque ball called "The Homing Missle" to his soccer ball inspired by what shape is created when you peel and orange. As I've said before, we are in an age where storytelling is super important, and Jon is killing it in that department, and that's why I enjoy his content. So, Jon, keep up the amazing creations, and I am looking forward to snagging one of your soccer balls when they drop.
